An inspiring use of real estate in Wall Township is the best way to describe the Allaire Community Farm.  The co-founders of the farm, JoAnn and Sean Burney are working tirelessly to “utilize rescued animals and the working farm environment to nurture special needs and at risk populations along with their families” as stated in their mission statement.  Their compassionate and laser focused vision includes assisting families in the community battling cancer or struggling financially by providing free organic produce.

Built in 1907, the original classic style red barn is a beacon of hope, inspiration, and education with various programs that promote the importance of neighbor helping neighbor and community.    The educational program welcomes class trips to participate in a guided tour by a Certified NJ teacher educating the children and young adults to the life of farming with animals, plants and bees.  The interactive experience will help students appreciate the farming culture of nature and nurture.  This specialty academic program includes participation at the petting zoo, hen house, hay ride and honey bee observation.

The Allaire Community Farm also offers opportunities for you to celebrate birthdays and other family milestones as well as scouting events and even corporate team building.  Organize a pony and farm party and have your guests enjoy pony rides, petting zoos, pet grooming, egg gathering in the hen houses and bring your food, desserts and snacks to the picnic area as you relax and admire the picturesque landscape.

Shop for free trade organic coffees, farm raised eggs and local honey conveniently from their website Allairecommunityfarm.org.  Help support this wonderful organization by sponsoring a rescued animal or sponsoring a $25 or $50 box of produce for a local family battling cancer.  You can also fund a stipend for an “at risk teen” or “special needs” young adult, become a corporate sponsor or donate professional services.
